Suzy Perez, a stunning Dominican-born model, was one of the hottest models during the late 90s and early 2000s. Her caramel complexion, dark hair, and stunning figure set her apart from other models.
But her life took an unexpected turn when she developed an addiction to heroin. Now, she lives on the streets and looks nothing like the model she once was.
She was a model
Suzy Perez was a highly sought-after model during the 90s and early 2000s due to her flawless figure and stunning complexion.
She was also a backup dancer for celebrities like Jennifer Lopez and P Diddy. Her images appeared on numerous covers of popular magazines as well as in music videos.
However, Suzy’s career took an unfortunate turn in recent years due to mental health issues and drug addiction.
Thankfully, her nephew Joshua was able to support her through social media. He created an Instagram account in order to spread awareness of her situation and has also launched a fundraiser in order to assist in getting into a rehabilitation facility.
She is a drug addict
Suzy Perez had a successful career as both a model and backup dancer during the 1990s and early 2000s. She collaborated with many renowned musicians such as Jennifer Lopez and Sean Combs.
She experienced a difficult period in her life and became addicted to drugs. For a period of months, she disappeared from the spotlight; however, she returned again in 2019.
Due to her substance abuse disorder, she lost custody of her child, Senna Celestino. Although family tried to convince her to seek rehabilitation, she refused.
She declared herself out of recovery, which is a legal procedure in New York. Additionally, she refused treatment at a facility outside her state’s borders.
She has since made her way to the streets of Manhattan, becoming a homeless drug addict who relies on these substances for survival. Gelena Solano, a reporter for Univision’s ‘El Gordo y La Flaca’ program, has been following her story closely and trying to help her out.
She is homeless
Suzy Perez had a promising career in modeling but has since fallen on hard times. She battled drug addiction and is now living on the streets, barely recognisable from her former self.
Her addiction has had a devastating impact on her social life, physical health and mental wellbeing. She struggles to eat nutritious meals and lives under harsh circumstances.
She has been seen begging on the street for money as she struggles with her addiction, and some even saw her dancing in an effort to receive some compassion from those who care about her.
In the fall of 2019, Univision’s Gelena Solano reported on Suzy’s homelessness and launched a campaign to raise funds for her rehabilitation. To date, it has raised half its goal.
She is a mother
Suzy Perez enjoyed a successful career as a model. Her pictures appeared in multiple magazines and she even worked as backup dancer for numerous music videos. Unfortunately, Suzy’s career took an unfortunate turn after she struggled with substance abuse issues.
Her family tried to assist her, but she refused to go to rehab. They even offered to get her a house, but this too proved insufficient for her.
She had been a mother before her drug addiction. Unfortunately, due to her unstable mental state and substance abuse problems, she lost custody of her son.
Unfortunately, she relapsed and returned to the streets. Today, her features are barely recognisable after struggling with heroin for several years.
Since last autumn, Univision reporter Geneva Solano has been trying to aid her. She helps reunite her with her son and provides food and clothing for the mother-to-be.
